RICE KRISPY TREATS

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons Butter (and a little extra to butter the pan)

  • 18 ounces (1 1/2) bags of Mini Marshmallows

  • 5 cups Rice Krispy Treats

Optional:

  • Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

  • Sprinkles

Directions:

Prep:

  1. If using a pan, butter it thoroughly (or line the pan with parchment paper).

  2. Measure the rice Krispies, so you’re ready to add them.

Make the Rice Krispy Treats:

  1. In a large pot over medium heat start to melt the 4 tablespoons of butter.

  2. Once the butter is almost completely melted, add the marshmallows. Stir constantly.

  3. When the marshmallows are completely smooth, remove the pot from the heat. Add the Rice Krispies slowly and stir thoroughly. When the Rice Krispies are coated, transfer them quickly to the parchment lined panned.

  4. Use another piece of parchment paper to flatten out the top.

  5. Let the Rice Krispy treats cool completely before you cut into them.

Decorating:

  1. Once you’ve cut the Rice Krispy Treats into your desired shape, create a double boiler.

  2. Fill a larger pot with water and bring it to a boil. In a smaller pot add semi sweet chocolate chips. Stir constantly so the chocolate chips melt.

  3. Dip the Rice Krispy’s Treat into the chocolate. Place on parchment paper and sprinkle with the sprinkles immediately. Repeat for each cut shape.
